What is the best greenlane bike????

Good Question what is the best greenlane bike??? It all comes down to money and what your budget is which will dictate the bike you will ride. There are hundreds of different bikes out there, from old 30 year old Twinshock enduro/ Trail to even older pre/65 british bikes. and then of course your modern fuel injected stupid fast new bikes, which are super light and very reliable. In our experience you dont need anything bigger than a 250. They are super light, Quick and easy to start if one gets into a pickle down a byway in mud ruts ect. Most modern Trail/Enduro bikes come with electric start and kickstart and trials tyres which are the 3 main things you need to look for when buying your greenlane bike. A lot of riders do have problems with the seat heights. It gets a bit tricky if you need to put your feet down quick. some of our members have chopped the rear subframes to lower the height and also another way is to fully decompress the rear shock by fully unwinding the adjustment on the rear spring.

Other ideas from our members to look out for when purchasing a bike is : Try and buy a Fourstroke with a large capacity fueltank something that wont need constant filling up ..Ideally 125cc and up to 250cc is best. also remember pirelli trials tryes are best for there wear and less puntures. you can run on enduro tyres but they are hard work down lanes that have ruts. they tend to follow every bump and groove but are hardwearing. it a bit swings and rounderbouts!...Good idea is also carry tools and innertubes enough for puntures ect.

Also we need to keep the noise to a minimal so dont go buying a great big noisy CR500!! you wont be welcome and told to go home. all bikes need to be ROAD LEGAL and "QUITE".. the last thing we want to do is piss off the locals and horsey dudes.
